Who We Are
Becoming Families is a non-profit organization located in Virgion with gound work for a location in Maryland. At Becoming Families, we look at the entire family ecosystem. The landscape of child welfare is changing, and we are evolving with it. We know that true support isn't one-size-fits-all. It requires a holistic approach that honors a child's roots while securing their future.
We act as educators, advocates, and navigators. From the early stages of family preservation to the final steps of adoption certification, we walk alongside families every single step of the way.

Family Preservation & Kinship Care
We believe the best home for a child is often the one they are already in, provided it is safe and stable. We actively support biological parents and kinship caregivers (like grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, and even family friends) through:
